The astronomical data was obtained from the publicly available Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 10 (SDSS-DR10) Sky Server, and consists of all cataloged objects collected within the 3° by 3° window of the sky with right ascension between 121° and 124°, and declination between 36° and 39°. This corresponds to the San Francisco Bay Area latitude and longitude night sky view at vernal equinox. (In the handy SQL Search box of their Sky Server, this query was issued to fetch the data.)
